Need to Know about the Bus Route
The first thing you need to know is that the campus gets really cold and windy with no warning and you might want to hop on the bus to go to class! There are 8 Campus Connectors including: Gables, West Edge Express, Mast Road, Cottages, Mast Road/West Edge Evening, Mast Road/West Edge Weekend, Winter Parking Ban Late Night, and IOL (InterOperability Lab on Technology Drive). Each connector begins and ends at a specific time. What you need to know is that the loop times vary depending on which connector.

Some helpful tips:
-
Use the NextBus App or find out bus arrival times by texting. You can see when the bus you want to take is getting to your stop.
-
Make sure you take note of times of reduced and no service during breaks/holidays
-
There are a LOT of "request stop" only stops on Connector routes. Example: The Field House has 2 stops, "inbound' and 'outbound'. If you want to get off at either of these, let the drive know OR pull the yellow cord with enough time for the bus to stop.

Campus Connector is open to the public!
The Wildcat Transit for Off-Campus
There are 4 transit routes to Dover, Portsmouth, Newmarket, and Rochester. These are free to UNH students with ID and open to the public for a small fee. You can find detailed bus schedules in the link above for times and dates (Route 3, 4, 5, and 125x). BE EARLY FOR YOUR BUS (at least 5 min). These buses all go through campus (McConnell Hall, through Main St, stopping at all the shelter/stop locations).
Things called "sweeps" may occur. This is when a route driver is running late and won't have time to pick up passengers on campus. Instead, another route bus that has the same departure time will pick up the TWO different route passengers at the same time. This will be clear on the scrolling destination sign and the bus driver might also yell out the bus info to passengers as well. This bus driver will then drop off the passengers at Hetzel Hall to then be picked up by their bus. If you're unsure about when these sweeps will occur, call UTS and speak with the dispatcher 603-862-2328.
Safe Rides UNH! For when you're too messed up to figure it out!
Safe rides is FANTASTIC and FREE because you already pay for it in tuition. This is NOT to be confused with CampusRides, which is a private company that charges you money. SafeRides runs Thursday-Saturday from 11pm-3am. On the back of your student I.D. (program this into your phone), there should be a number for saferides 603-365-6406. SafeRides serves UNH, Lee, Dover, Newmarket, Portsmouth, Madbury, and Durham. This is specifically to give you a sober ride home. No, you will not be reported, no it is not a trick. It is so you safely get home after a rowdy night out
